One the greatest deficits in developing countries, especially those in Africa, is the scarcity of medical centers that can train specialists.
This results in African doctors seeking specialty training in the USA, UK, Canada, Europe or other places. Most of the African doctors do not return to Africa once they have finished their training.
CEF is developing a team now to go to a central location of great need in Africa (N’Djamena, Chad) in the 10/40 window to develop a training center for African doctors. CEF is also working in Werkok, Sudan with Partners in Compassionate Care, L.I.O.N. Outreach and Christian Mission Aid to staff and equip a newly constructed medical facility.
Our spiritual goal will be to reach the lost for Jesus Christ, regardless of their tribal origin or background.
Our vision is to bring the good news of the Christian faith along with quality medical care to people across sub-Saharan Africa without limitations regarding tribe, status or religion. We will build hospitals and recruit personnel to serve as doctors, nurses, technicians and administrative staff in these facilities. To ensure continuity, we will give emphasis to the training of nationals to become competent medical and administrative professionals. We will be involved in primary and community health care, maternal and infant care, as well as, curative care. Additionally, we plan to assist the welfare of nationals through the establishment of training programs in various types of agricultural and other non medical projects.
Our goal is to establish teaching hospitals across sub-Saharan Africa where we will provide treatment for the medical and spiritual needs of the people. We will be involved in training the medical and administrative nationals so that they will eventually assume responsibility for those hospitals. Associated with each medical center will be the development of a variety of agricultural programs to benefit the staff, as well as, the local population.
CEF Statement of Faith
We believe that the Scriptures teach that God has graciously provided one way of salvation for all mankind.
The source of this salvation is the sinless Son of God, Jesus Christ, who offered Himself on a cross as a sacrifice for the sins of all people. He was raised from the dead according to the Scriptures, now serves as our high priest in heaven, and will return one day to reign forever over all creation.
Every person who believes in Jesus Christ as his or her only hope for salvation receives this gift. Those who believe are rescued from sin’s penalty, receive the forgiveness of sins, and are assured of eternal life from God.
Our confidence in this salvation rests completely on the promises of God recorded in the inspired Word of God, the Bible.
